One of Australia's first commercial common-user facilities for critical minerals processing, tailings reprocessing, and precious metals. The FlexiLab is part of the Resources Centre of Excellence in Paget, supported by $5.7 million in Queensland Government funding. Currently in its construction phase with high levels of industry interest from junior miners and established resources companies.
The facility addresses a critical gap in the Australian critical minerals value chain — the ability to pilot and demonstrate processing technologies at commercial scale without requiring individual companies to invest in dedicated infrastructure. This common-user model is designed to de-risk entry for METS businesses seeking to diversify into critical minerals processing.
Next step
Secure offtake and finalise common-user access terms.
